How can I lower my Mercedes-Benz car insurance quote?
Mercedes don’t come cheap. So if you can save money on your car insurance – great! Here are a few tips to help you get a lower quote.
- Pay your full year’s insurance up front – this means you won’t have to pay interest, so the total cost is lower than if you pay in instalments
- Increase your excess – if you increase your excess voluntarily, it may lower your overall insurance costs. Just make sure you can pay for the excess if you need to make a claim

About Mercedes-Benz
Early Beginnings
Everybody’s heard of Mercedes-Benz. But what a lot of people don’t know is that its first petrol-powered car was made by Karl Benz and called the Benz Patent Motorwagon, which was patented in Germany in 1886. Then in 1901, Daimler Motors Corporation marketed the first Mercedes car locally.
Austrian entrepreneur Emil Jellinek, who named the 1901 Mercedes Jellinek, created the trademark for the brand. Then In 1926, the first Mercedes-Benz brand name vehicles went into production.
First Car
Mercedes first, modern car–the Mercedes 35HP–was debuted at the ‘Nice Race Week’ in France, and generated a lot of buzz around the event. The car stood out from its competitors as it was incredibly lightweight, which was a first for modern cars. Plus it signalled a new era in the automotive industry.
Present Day
Today, Mercedes-Benz is known around the world for producing luxury cars. But it’s known for making other vehicles, like lorries, coaches and buses too. And, it still upholds innovation as part of its key ethos.
